When people call us

Your app works. Now someone is asking if it is safe.

Will you sign a BAA?

A clinic or hospital wants to start a pilot. Before real patients use it, you need to know what is exposed and which vendors touch patient data.

Please complete our security questionnaire.

A customer or investor sends 200 questions on encryption, audit logs and incident response. You need honest answers and a plan for the gaps.

Every fix breaks two other things.

The app outgrew the tool that built it. You need to know if the foundation is sound, or what to rebuild, before you spend $50k finding out.

The journey

What does it take to move an AI-built app to production?

Four steps. First, an audit finds what is missing: access control, secrets, audit logs, BAAs, backups and separate environments. Second, a Launch Sprint fixes it. Third, the app moves to BAA-covered hosting. Fourth, it is run and monitored. Most apps need steps 1 and 2. The audit tells you which, with a fixed price.

What we check

What does a HIPAA technical audit check?

It checks the technical safeguards in the HIPAA Security Rule against your real app: access control and roles, login and session timeout, audit logs, encryption and secrets, data in transit, vendors and their BAAs, backups and incident readiness. Ours also reviews the code and architecture, because the fix for one usually depends on the other.

Security gaps get you stopped by a customer. Architecture gaps get you stuck six months later.

  • Access control and roles164.312(a)(1)
  • Login, MFA and session timeout164.312(d)
  • Audit logging of who viewed what164.312(b)
  • Encryption and secrets handling164.312(a)(2)(iv)
  • Data in transit164.312(e)(1)
  • Vendors that touch PHI, and their BAAs164.308(b)
  • Backups that actually restore164.308(a)(7)
  • Incident readiness164.308(a)(6)

Database service key shipped in browser code

What we found

The production build includes a privileged database key. Anyone who opens the browser tools can copy it and read or change every table, including patient records.

bundle: assets/index-8f2c.js
key type: service_role · value redacted
tables readable with key: 14 of 14

Fix

  • Revoke and rotate the key today
  • Move privileged calls to a server function with its own authorization
  • Turn on row-level security for every table that holds PHI
  • Check access logs for use of the old key
Effort: 1 to 2 daysCheck it is done: the old key returns 401 and a bundle scan finds no secrets

Key terms

Four terms you will see in your report

BAA
A Business Associate Agreement. A contract in which a vendor that handles patient data for you agrees to protect it under HIPAA.
PHI
Protected health information. Health information that can be linked to a person, such as a name next to a diagnosis or a visit date.
Row-level security
A database rule that decides which rows each user can read or change. Without it, one clinic can see another clinic's records.
Production environment
The live copy of your app that real users and real data touch. It is kept separate from the test copy where you try changes.

This is not a HIPAA certificate (that does not exist), not a penetration test and not legal advice. It is a clear list of what to fix and what it costs.

FAQ

Before you apply.

Is a Lovable or Bolt app HIPAA compliant?

Not by default. No app is HIPAA compliant because of the tool that built it. It depends on who can see which records, which vendors touch patient data and have signed a BAA, audit logs, encryption and backups. Several popular AI app builders do not offer a BAA; check your vendor's current terms.

No audit can make an app compliant on its own. Ours shows exactly what stands between your app and handling patient data safely, and how to fix it. HIPAA also covers policies and training, which are outside this review.

Do I need a BAA with my app builder?

If the app builder, database, hosting or AI model stores or processes patient data for you, yes. Every vendor that touches PHI needs a BAA with you. Several popular AI app builders do not offer one; check each vendor's current terms. The audit lists every vendor in your data path and whether a BAA covers it.

Do you need access to patient data?

No. We need read-only access to your code, database settings and hosting. If your production system already holds patient data, we agree the access approach and sign a BAA before we look.

I am not technical. Will I understand the report?

Yes. Every report opens with a one-page summary in plain language. The technical detail is there for whoever does the fixing.

Where is your team?

Trilops is a US company registered in Wyoming. Our engineering team works from Pakistan. We work under NDA, with read-only access you can revoke at any time.

My app was built with Lovable or Replit. Is that a problem?

That is most of what we review. We check the generated code and the services behind it, such as Supabase or Firebase, and tell you whether to keep it, fix it or rebuild parts of it.

Can you fix what you find?

Yes. After the audit you can start a fixed-price Launch Sprint, and the $1,000 is credited if you start within 30 days. You are free to use another team.

Is this a penetration test?

No. We review code, configuration and architecture. We do not attack your live system.

How do I pay?

After your call, we send you a secure payment link for $1,000. Payments are processed by Payoneer and accept card or bank payment. The 5-day clock starts once payment and read-only access are in place.
